WBC female light flyweight "interim" champion Nongmuay Kokietgym has defeated challenger Che Hoy Wa by split decision in match in the Northeastern Thai city of Nong Khai yesterday.

There was some confusion at the interim title bout on June 30 as the referee initially declared a draw after the 10 rounds ended. However, the tally was found to be miscalculated by WBC official Patrick Cusick, and Thailand's Nongmuay was later announced to be the winner with split decisions.

Each judge favored the puglist from his own country, with each of the two Thai judges gave Nongmuay scores of 96-94, and the third judge, who is from Hong Kong, gave Wa the scores of 100-93.

According to the earlier reports, Nongmuay's promoter is aiming to have her challenge the "real" title holder Naomi Togashi of Japan later this year

อย่างไรก็ตามในเวลาต่อมา หลังมีการตรวจคะแนนกันใหม่ ปรากฏว่าเป็นความผิดพลาดของ นายแพ็ตทริก คิวซิก สักขีพยาน ชาวออสเตรเลีย ที่บวกคะแนนผิดพลาด จึงมีการประกาศผลออกมาใหม่อีกครั้ง ปรากฏ นพรัตน์ ศรีเจริญ ให้น้อง หมวย 96-94, ธาวุฒิ ปลื้มสำราญ ให้น้อง หมวย 96-94 ขณะที่ อเล็กซ์ สุย โปรโม เตอร์มวยชาวฮ่องกงกลับเทคะแนนให้ เช ฮอย วาห์ นักมวยชาติเดียวกับตน ชนะไปท่วม ท้น 100-93

ผลปรากฏ น้องหมวย จึงชนะคะแนนไปอย่างไม่เอกฉันท์ 2-1 เสียง
