| Mauythai schedule: from Hong Kong to Holland |

A number of Thai muaythai fighters will be fighting in several upcoming events around the world in the next two months. Stephan Fox of the World Muaythai Council and Hong Kong promoter Kim Ip will organize the I-1 World Muaythai Grand SLAM 2008 on October 27 at Hong Kong International Trade Exhibition Centre (Star Hall). The Hong Kong 72-kilogram four-man tournament, which will end in a single day, will include Contender Asia semifinalist Sean Wright of Scotland, Canada’s Shane Campbell who is scheduled to fight Lamsongkram Chuwattana in the U.S. next month, Dmitry Valent of Belarus and Wanlop Sitpholek of Thailand. Another 65-kilogram tournament of the same format will be held on the same day and will include WMC Oceania and South Pacific champion Kurt Finlayson of Australia, Leonardo Monteiro of Brazil, Dave Hale of Canada, and Santichai Or Boonchuai of Thailand. In addition, the October 27 event will also feature a match of Andrei Kulebin of Belarus vs. Yodchatpol Scorpion Gym of Thailand. On November 29, Thai Orono Wor Petpoon will fight Dutch Faldir Chahbari in a match of the Showtime Gala event at Indoor Sportcentruim in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, while another Thai fighter, Buakaw Por Pramuk, will be pitted against his long-time Dutch nemesis Albert Kraus. The Eindhoven event will also match many international fighters against the Dutch fighters including the fights of Zabit Samedov of Belarus vs. Tyrone Spong, Gago Drago of Armenia vs Chahid Oulad El Hadj, and Sahin 'Kaas' Yakut of Turkey vs Imro Main. In the same event, Italian Giorgio Petrosyan, who at one time was known by his Thai alias Giorgio Sipsanrien Resort, will fight K-1 Max quarterfinalist Warren Stevelmans of South Africa. On November 20, also at the Netherlands, Tanit Im-on will fight Farik Riffy. For the past events, veteran Somluck Kamsing, although not in the best conditions, was able to best Kieran Kiddle at the Muay Thai Legends event in the U.K, while Diesellek King Boxing lost to Steve Wakeling on August 16. At a Hong Kong event on August 22, Saiyok Pumpanmuang defeated South Korean K-max by scores, while his younger brother Mongkutthong Sakchainarong also claimed a victory from he match against Dennis Sasiprapa Gym. In the same event, Antuan Siangboxing lost to Bill Song, while Yoksila Kietprasanchai beat Osvaldo Jockygym.
