Lumpini Stadium chief Major General Theera Kraipanon is planning a grand charity muaythai event on September 8 for the soldiers in the three southernmost provinces.

The Lumpini chief is reportedly satisfied with the recent event on July 4 despite heavy rains and selling of the tickets at a price as low as 180 Baht.

“In the big picture, everything was okay. The muaythai fans gave the event a great support despite the evening rain. I have to thank everyone,” said the general.

“The next Lumpini Champion event would be held on September 8 to raise funds for the soldiers who risk their lives fighting terrorists in the three southern provinces. We want to boost their morale by raising funds and donate to the army commander.”

“We would like to ask for 300 Baht for a ticket, 50 Baht of which would be donated to the soldiers. This will be easier then putting a donation box up.”

The promoter of the September 8 event, “Sia Tang” Petpiya, said he had been selecting the fighters and had already included in the event matches of Saenchai Sor Kingstar vs. Wutthidet Lukprabaht, Saenchainoi Toyato Rayong vs. Orano Ror Pethoon, Rungruenglek Lukprabaht vs. Sam-A Tor Rattanakiet, Pansak Luk Bor Kor vs, Lo-gnen Por Muang Tongsong, Petboonchu F.A. Group vs. Detnarong Sitjaboon, and Nong O Sit Or vs. Kaew Fairtex.
