10th Prince's Cup muaythai tournament begins PDF Print E-mail

The 10th Prince Cup amateur muaythai tournament has begun on Tuesday July 29, with Thailand’s Amnaj Setsuwan winning over Philippines’ Clint Annawe and Laos’ Nu Kid beating Japan’s Ibata Musaturi.

Both Amnaj and Nu Kid won by scores in the 51-kilogram weight class. They are part of the 25 athlete teams from 24 nations participating in the event held at Huamark Indoor Stadium on July 29 to August 2 to honor the 56th birthday anniversary of Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn.

The event is supported by the World Muaythai Federation (WMF) and Muaythai Association of Thailand.

Tourism and sport minister Weerasak Kowsurat presided over the opening ceremony on July 29, while the closing ceremony on August 2 from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm will be broadcasted on TV Keela network.

In addition to the tournament, the event also includes training programs for international referees of the upcoming SEA Games in Laos, Asian Indoor Games in Vietnam, and Martial Arts Asia in Thailand.
