Waehame-Sea Narit lawsuit not yet end. Civil court will judge.

The battle of close friends becomes a drama movie. The dispute for “Waehama”, Denkaosaen Kratingdaenggym between Narit Singhawangcha and “Sharemae”, Niwat Laosuwan is not yet end. Recently, the office of boxing commission identified that they can determine only the right for organizing the match. However, they case of damages from losing the right to organize the match of “Sea Narit”, it will depend on the civil court to judge.

The dispute for “Waehame”, Denkaosaen Kratingdaenggym between Narit Singhawangcha and “Sharemae”, Niwat Lao Suwannawat led to escalated problem many years ago. This has not ended yet.

Famous Thai boxers are approved as Asian Games competitors in China.

Famous Thai boxers are approved as Wusu competitors of Thai national team to battle in Asian Games at Guagnzhou. These include Wuthidech Lukphrabaht, Yodtuanthong Weeramanokul, Lakhin Sakjawee, and Nueng Jakrawan Aor Srisomboon. Police Lieutenant General Cherdsak Chaleawsin is preparing to train them in Suphanburi in order to increase their strength before fighting in China.

Regarding to the movement of Wusu competitors selection in male fighting type preparing to fight in 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou, China during 12-27 Nov 2010, recently, Wusu Association of Thailand has selected Wusu competitors in male fighting type for the first time in order to attend 16th Asian Games. Mr.Nattawutsak Pinwiset, the director of the Office of Tourism and Sports Authority, Suphanburi, was the leader, Mr.Blue Ditsayabud as a consultant of Wusu Association, police lieutenant colonel Cherdsak Chaleawsin as a Thai trainer, Mr.Jieng Wei as a Chinese trainer, and Mr.Rachan Chaleaosin as a referee for selection at Silapaarcha building, institute of physical education, Suphanburi, on 1 Aug.

Santipab proved his innocence.

Santipab Intarapat brought receipts as a proof that he did not cheat sportsmen’s allowance. However, he was complained because sportsmen and coaches misunderstood. The withdrawal has been delayed due to document work. The association made an appointment to pay remaining money on 15 June. He felt hurt because the association has to pay them in advance in some tournaments but they complain when they do not receive money on time. Director Sakol Kantaphong, SAT’s representative, explained that every association has problems. He suggested a guideline of monthly separated withdrawal.

At 09.30 a.m., room 304, parliament 2 building, Mr.Worawut Rojanapanich, president of senate commissioner, assigned secretariat of the senate Jaran Juengyingrungruengkul, president of sub-commissioner of sports welfare and privilege to investigate on Mr.Santipab Intarapat, president of Muaythai Association in the case that sportsmen and coaches complained about not receiving allowance on due date.

Administrative court dismissed Muaythai lawsuit accused by Santipab.

Lawsuit was turned over! Santipab Intarapat lost in the lawsuit. Administrative court has dismissed the case accused by Santipab that SAT used its administrative power unfairly. It revoked the license of Muaythai Association of Thailand and approved Amateur Muaythai Association of Thailand instead by making decision in 3 days only. The administrative court made a final judgment that revocation of license and reestablishment of the association was consistent with regulatory Act of Sports of Thailand. Therefore, it revoked the judgment of civil court and dismissed the case, ended 5-years-long conflict.

After Mr.Santipab Intarapat, the president of Muaythai Association of Thailand made an appeal to the administrative court for the case that Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) used its administrative power unfairly by revoking the license of Muaythai Association of Thailand and approved the establishment of Amateur Muaythai Association of Thailand instead. In this matter, the long conflict lasts 5 years. Lately, on 25 May 2010 at the courtroom 2 on the third floor, Administrative Court, Jangwattana Road, the court sentenced the case that Mr.Santipab Intarapat, the president of Muaythai Association of Thailand accused on Sports Authority of Thailand and Amateur Muaythai Association of Thailand at 10.30 a.m. The court announced to the plaintiff and defendants that the court would read the part of judgment only since there were many pages of the detail. After that, the court read the judgment as follows.

Rajdamnern offers Lumpinee to use its stage

Rajdamnern is please if Lumpinee wants to use Rajdamnern stage as a solution for the current political situation. “Set Kong” is appreciated with Rajdamnern’s offer. However, he cannot make a decision on his own. He has to consult with the board and promoter, and then wait for the order for stage referee. He accepted Fairtex on Friday, 21 May. From the situation, it is difficult to organize again. He will give an answer today.

Political situation affects all societies. Muaythai society is highly impacted since dangerous zone in Lumpinee stage area. Recently, Lumpinee stage has cancelled Suekkietpetch match on Tuesday, 18 May already.

PBAT reports on 2009 progress, tightens control on overseas matches

The Professional Boxing Association of Thailand (PBAT) has reported on its progress made in 2009 and is preparing to implement a 10-year strategic plan, while focusing on its role to supervise the Thai fighters fighting overseas.

On March 22 in Bangkok, PBAT president Somchart Charoenwatcharawit chaired an annual meeting of 2010 to report progress of the association in the past year, which includes a campaign to promote muaythai in Japan in January, an event to honor muaythai legend Nai Khanom Tom in March, international muaythai matches to honor Her Majesty the Queen in August, muaythai workshops in September, and matches to honor His Majesty the King in December.

In addition, the PBAT also reported on recent events held this year, such as muaythai referee training in January and another Nai Khanom Tom event in March.

It said it has responded to complaints on muaythai issues and helped solve problems for current and former fighters as well as supporting activities of the World Professional Muaythai Federation (WPMF) and other organizations.

Female boxing manager Kosit died after car hit

Kokiet Group’s female boxing manager Kosit Chuayboonsong has died after getting hit by a speeding car in Kamphaeng Phet, Thailand.

Kosit was a key figure in Thailand’s female boxing industry, and was credited for the rises of many successful female boxers in Kokiet camp including Buarimbueng Kokietgym, Duennapa Kiatkriangsak, Kanittha Kokietgym, Namtal Kokietgym, Usanakorn Kokietgym and Nongmuay Kokietgym.

Kosit was in Kamphaeng Phet to accompany Buarimbueng and Duennapa for their bouts on March 12. According to the local police, at about 1.40 am of the bout day the boxing manager was crossing the street near his hotel supposedly to look for late-night meal when a car driving at about 140 kilometers per hour hit him. He died instantly due to damage to his brain.

Promoter Kokiet Panichayarom said he was shocked and saddened by the sudden departure of the 43-year-old Samut Prakarn native, who had contributed to the recent popularity of female boxing in Thailand as well as successes of many female boxers.

Ratchadamnern to spend 200 million Baht to revamp stadium

Thailand’s Ratchadamnern Stadium has announced it would spend nearly 200 million Baht on an ambitious project to upgrade its facilities as well as adding more buildings to the complex.

The construction has already started since October 1 but the stadium executives and the contractor just signed an agreement on the project on October 29. Upon completion, the stadium would boast brand-new two commercial buildings, a mixed-use building, and a parking garage.

It will also invest on repairing the stadium itself, allocating space for recreation, improving the landscape, and adding a number of new shops and a muaythai museum.
