Rumours had it that Maj Gen Kittitut Bamnejphan might hand his post as the chief of the Lumpini Stadium to “Joint Staff Laem” Colonel Theera Kraipanon after he obtained a chance to take over the bigger position – the managing director of the Army Television Channel 5 –  presented by Gen Anupong Paochinda, Royal Thai Army Commander-in-Chief caretaker.

Sources said “Big Chao” Maj Gen Kittitut initially got a chance to continue his position as the chief at the Lumpini Stadium as he still had many assignments to be completed, while Col Theera will be posted as deputy chief.

However, Maj Gen Kittitut might give Colonel Theera a chance to take the position as the chief of the stadium as he was promoted to the managing director of Channel 5 designated by Gen Anupong Paochinda, the Army Commander-in-Chief  caretaker.

“At first, Col Theera was serious about the assignment, but he felt relieve after he learned that “Big Chao” got promoted to head Channel 5,” sources said.

According to Muay Siam Daily’s reporters, only one will be selected from  the four promoters to take care of  the Muay Thai competitions at Rajdamnoen Stadium in the last three months of the year. They comprise  Songchai Rattanasuban, “Ung Mor” Chucharoen Ruwee-aramwong, Sia Yuri Suek Petch Chaophraya and newcomer Sommai Sakulmetta Suek Sor Sommai.
