The followings are from the interview with sport reporter and muaythai analyst Bancha Wangdee who would discuss the upcoming muaythai matches of this week. “Hello to Mauymag.com readers. I, Bancha Ondee, is back to talk to you again. There have not been any four- or five-star muaythai events recently, neither at Ratchadamnern Stadium nor Lumpini Stadium. But this month will start with a grand event, almost a four star one, on July 1 at Lumpini Stadium. The reason I did not give it a four star was that some of the fighters have not fought each others before. Some of the fighters were transferred from Ratchadamnern Stadium, while the others have fought at Lumpini, but not in this event.” “So on July 1, there is Suek Saeng Morakot event of promoter ‘Ja Tui’ who had recently changed his real name from Titipong Umanan to Akkapong Umanan. He will charge, for the first time in the 10 years of his promoter career, 250, 500, and 2000 Baht for the tickets.” “The top match will be Saketdao Petphayathai vs. Nong Dee Kietyongyut. Nong Dee used to fight for promoter Songchai Rattanasuban, now he is a fighter of Ban Ponlamuang Dee Group of Khun Chum who is the boss of Ja Tui. This match will be interesting as both fighters are muaythai superstars. We will see whether Nong Dee, who is more senior, will be able to take down the hot newcomer Saketdao who has won last year’s Best Fighter Award of the Sport Authority of Thailand.” “The next match will feature former champion Chomthong Chuwattana and newer fighter Tukkatathong Petphayathai. This is an honored fight of the senior and the junior.” “Another match will feature Pinsayam Sor Amnuai Sirichoke, whose pay was once as high as 100,000 Baht before drastically dropping after a few losses, and Mongkonchai Sit Kruyiam, a champion of Suek Pet Supapan event.” “Any true fan of muaythai must come out to watch these three matches on July 1 at Lumpini Stadium. I will go to watch the matches too.” “Another match will feature Kaodaeng Surapitfarm vs. Sittichailek Pleangpin Khonkhaen. The fight of these two could easily be the top match for a smaller event. There is also Wisanlek Sor Totsapon vs. star fighter Pet-ek Luk Por Kor as the first fight of the day. These are the five great matches on July 1 that will be such an orgasmic pleasure to any muaythai fan.”
“On July 4, there is another great event at Lumpini that I will give it a four or four and a half star. It is the Muaythai Lumpini Kriekkrai Championship with Jor Por Ror Jet event by promoters Major General Mathee Thammarangsee and “Boat” Nattadej Watchirarattanawong. Their event is packed with seven great matches, while each of the fighters is paid from 50,000 Baht to 100,000 Baht. It will be one of the greatest muaythai events of this decade. And the ticket will be only 180 Baht, quite a low price for such event.” “Everyone is talking about which fighter will come out as the winner in this match. Saengchainoi, by degree, seems to be stronger as he often has troubles finding an opponent. But for this match, he has to lose weight in order to fight in Wutthidet’s weight class. This could tire Saengchainoi somehow.” “The second match will feature Petboonchu F.A. Group vs. Isuzu champion Rungruenglek Lukprabaht, who is boxing to put himself through school. Rungruenglek already has a 1.5 million Baht savings from fighting, not counting his house and car. This match will be a five star too.” “Dejnarong Sit Ja Boon will fight Sam-A Tor Rattanakiet. The two will get a combined pay of 150,000 Baht for their match.” “Lo-ngen Por Muang Tungsong, formerly Lo-ngen Pitakkruchaidan, will fight Nong O Sit Or, who was a muaythai champion in the same era as Chomthong.” “The other matches include Chalermdej Sor Tawanrung vs. Pansak Luk Por Kor, and Rungpet Wor Rungnirat vs. Chatchainoi Sor Thanayong.” “But the match I am most eager to watch is the first match that features Panumrunglek Kiet Mu Kao vs. Nong Nan Kietpratum, as the two are great muaythai fighters of similar styles. Any who misses this match cannot call themselves a true muaythai fan. But I will surely miss the match as I am traveling upcountry.” “Panumrunglek also fights as a professional international boxer too. And he is currently a world champion. For Nong Nan, I have watched him fought as a child fighter. Now he is fearsome as an adult fighter. We will see who will win this match.” “I, Bancha Ondee, will have to say good bye to the muaymag fan for now. But I will be back again next week to talk about the upcoming matches.”
