Promoter “Ang Mor” Chucharoen Rawee-aramwong did not make any profit from his last 20 matches as the anti-government rally had scared away the would-be spectators, but he seems to be quite happy recently. Perhaps it is because Chucharoen has appeared in nearly all the major national television networks as well as the newspapers when he led the muaythai fighters to protest the rally. Even a million Baht cannot buy that much media coverage for advertisement. So a small loss of, let’s say, 200,000 Baht from the matches are more than worth the news coverage.  

Several months ago Noi Banpong was reportedly planning to leave Onesongchai team due to a rift. But the rift was amended and he was persuaded to stay. This time, however, the persuasion did not seem to work and Noi has already started a new career as a personal muaythai analyst. His business is going well as he has got a lot of calls from the customers. 

Promoter Yongyut Lerwisit or “Ko Lai” has been homey recently. Aside for home, he does not go anywhere but his Kietyongyut training camp to supervise his fighters. Under tight control, the fighters seem to be unusually fit under rigid training. Perhaps Yongyut has learned from his recent experience, as he is definitely not letting any of the fighters to have a chance to leave the camp.

Letters from anonymous senders are often the preferred strategy of backstabbers to discredit the promoters and fighters they don’t like. Fighter Sarawut Lukbanyai, too, fell victim to such strategy when the editor of Muay Siam magazine received a mysterious letter about Sarawut. The letter, however, was not exactly from a malicious writer but from an anguished girl whose heart was broken by the handsome fighter.
