Gen. Taweep prepares for “Youth Amateur Boxing Games II” On 5-10 August 2007 at The Mall, Ngam Wongwan branch. Gen. Taweep said to thai press that “There are 33 teams participated total 146 boxers from my last check. I set this competition because I would like to open chance for Young boxer can show their talent and get more experiences” “On this stage we can find the ‘White Elephat’ to be the boxer of Nation Team, nowadays we have less of Thai boxer in Amateur boxing if we compare with CUBA or Kazakhstan” “So, we would like to support and find good boxer from these Youth and I hope this will be the firm step for boxing and can competition in world class” Gen. Taweep , also talked about IOC has plan to held Summer Youth Olympic Games (age not over 18) in 2010 that we still have more time prepare and train our boxers for these Youth in World Class. “I believe that our Thai boxer has ‘fighter blood’ more than anyone in this world, they just need more training in correctly and I hope we can be the winner in Summer Youth Olympic Games very soon” However, “Youth Amateur Boxing Games II ” will live broadcast on Ch. 11 on the closing day of Ceremony also.
