Fight Quest is on Discovery Channel PDF Print E-mail

Discovery Channel held the press conference about the new defensive arts documentary called “Fight Quest” at Central World Bangkok on May 23rd.

The program presents the life of an integrated defensive arts fighter who travels from country to country, fighting with free hands against the master of the defensive arts in each country. Fight Quest will be on the air on Tuesday 3rd June on True Visions 47 at 9pm.

 
Peter, the real champion of WBC PDF Print E-mail

Samuel Peter or 'Nigerian Nightmar' showed the world that he is the real champion. He won Russian ex-champion, Oleg Maskaef, in the sixth round of WBC match at Cocoon, Mexico on last Saturday.

Oleg Maskaef, heavyweight champion of WBC, fought for the second defensive match with Samuel Peter, Nigerian boxer, at Cocoon, Mexico on Saturday 8th March.

In the first 3 rounds, both of them exchange the punches at Plaza de Taros. 4 seconds before time is out in the 6th round, Maskaef, who is 12 years older than Peter, was hit until he can not continue fighting.

The match between Oleg Maskaef and 'The Nigerian Nightmare' Samuel Peter will be held on Sunday 9th March, local time, at Cancun in Mexico.
 
From the official weighting on March 7th at the Royal Plaza, Maskaef weights 243 pounds, which is 5 pounds heavier than the last time he got the championship from Hasim Raman in 2006. Samuel Peter weights 250 pound same as the last time he fought with Jameal McCline.

Best Muaythai matches held to celebrate year-end in Czech PDF Print E-mail

Sir Marek Attila Janecek von Dudas of Czech Republic and Siriphop Ratanasuban, a son of Thai famous promoter Songchai, held the 14th consecutive Best Muaythai match at Lucerna in Praque, Czech Republic on 30 December 2007.

Somdej Por. Pantree carried his 90 kilogrames of weight to win the best performance for "Wai Kru" ceremony. The ceremony that show the respect for teachers who teach Muaythai arts.

Siriphob said he was pround of joining the tournament.

"I felt pround. It was a classic tournament. I love to see this kind of amazing tournament being held in Thailand," he added.

Thai boxer arrives Frankfurt for WBA fight PDF Print E-mail

Prawet Victory Gym or Singwangcha of Thailand arrived Frankfurt cancern of freezing weather obstruck the weight control.

Attaporn Tangnusart, Prawet's manager, said he was soon seeking the sauna for Prawet after his weight was up one kilogramme even though he was on weight control since he left Thailand.

He said the weather was so cold with minus two decree which make the weight increased but however he still confident that Prawet could make a suprise and historic victory for Thai fans.
