Thailand’s Buakaw Por Pramuk is visiting China where he expects to fight in the near future, while revealing his other plan to enter the Thai movie industry.

Buakaw, who became an international muaythai star after winning the K-1 tournament in 2004 and 2006, has left the Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok on August 20 for a flight to Henan, China, saying he was invited to appear in events there. He also said he may be offered to fight in a muaythai match in China in the near future.

Buakaw is currently one of the four semifinalists of the 2009 K-1 Max tournament who will be pitted against each other on the last tournament day on October 26 in Japan.

If Buakaw is able to beat Dutch Andy Souwer in the semifinal and the eventual finalist, who may be either Italy’s Giorgio Petrosyan or Japan's Yuya Yamamota, the Thai fighter will become the first three-time K-1 winner.

Buakaw’s trainer Banluesak Cheanyim said the fighter’s contract with K-1 organizer will expire when the tournament ends, and he may fight in Europe afterward.

In addition to his boxing career, Buakaw is also looking to enter the movie industry. In fact, he has already starred in a Thai action movie about a Japanese warlord who served the Thai court in the 17th century.

But he regretted that he was not casted for the epic historical film series “the Legend of King Naresuan”, directed by HSH Prince Chatrichalerm Yukol.

“It would be the highest honor to my life and my family [to be part of this movie]. Unfortunately, I was not approached for the movie, even if I was confident I would be able to perform well,” he said.

บัวขาวเยือนเหอหนานโชว์ตัว เตรียมบุกยุโรป-อยากเล่นหนัง"นเรศวร"

บัวขาว ป.ประมุข อดีตแชมป์เค-วัน สองสมัย และยอดมวยไทยผู้ได้รับการยกย่องไปทั่วโลก ล่าสุดเมื่อ 20 ส.ค. ที่สนามบินสุวรรณภูมิ ออกเดินทางไปเยือนสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน เนื่องจากได้รับเชิญให้ไปโชว์ตัวที่มณฑลเหอหนาน โดย "เจ้าดำ ดอตคอม"บัวขาว เปิดใจว่า ตนได้รับเชิญให้ไปโชว์ตัวที่เมืองจีน เพราะเชื่อว่าในอนาคตอันใกล้คงจะมีโปรแกรมติดต่อให้ไปชกมวยไทยที่นั่น

บัวขาวมีโปรแกรมจะขึ้นชกมวยเค-วัน เวิลด์ แม็กซ์ 2009 รอบไฟนอล เป็นนัดสุดท้าย(รอบ 4 คน) ในวันที่ 26 ต.ค.ศกนี้ ที่ญี่ปุ่น หากบัวขาวชนะก็จะกลายเป็นแชมป์เค-วัน 3 สมัยคนแรกทันที หลังจากเคยทำได้ใน ปี 2004 และ 2006 มาแล้ว และหากทำได้จริงก็จะได้เงินรางวัลถึง ราวๆ 7 ล้านบาทเลยทีเดียว บัวขาวกล่าวอีกว่า หลังเสร็จศึกครั้งนี้ก็จะเหลือการ ชกอีกไฟต์หนึ่ง จากนั้นก็คงจะหมดสัญญากับเค-วันของญี่ปุ่น ซึ่งทาง "พี่จู๊ด"บรรลือศักดิ์ เชิญยิ้ม เทรนเนอร์คู่บารมีเผยว่า "ล่าสุดทางเค-วันของฮอลแลนด์ กำลังเจรจากับกำนันแก๊ (ประมุข โรจนตัณฑ์) ผจก.ของบัวขาว ด้วยข้อเสนอจัดบัวขาวชก 4 ไฟต์ที่ยุโรป สนนราคาค่าตัวไฟต์ละ 1.3 ล้าน บาท แต่หากบัวขาวคว้าแชมป์เค-วัน 2009 ที่ญี่ปุ่นในเดือนต.ค.นี้ได้สำเร็จ ค่าตัวจะต้องเพิ่มเป็นไฟต์ละ 1.5 ล้านบาทเป็นอย่างต่ำ"

นอกจากคิวโชว์ตัวและชกมวยแล้ว ล่าสุดบัวขาวยังมีงานแสดงภาพ ยนตร์อีกด้วย เจ้าตัวเผยว่า "ขณะนี้เปิดกล้องถ่ายทำหนังเรื่องยามาดะไปแล้ว ผมรับบทเป็นครูสอนวิชามวยไทยให้กับยามาดะ นากามาสะ ขุนศึกญี่ปุ่นที่เข้ามารับราชการในกรุงศรีอยุธยา เริ่มถ่ายทำที่อยุธยาและสุโขทัย ไปแล้วบางส่วน ใจจริงแล้วผมอยากมีส่วนร่วมแสดงในภาพยนตร์เรื่องตำนานสมเด็จพระนเรศวรฯ ที่ท่านมุ้ยกำกับมาก เพราะจะถือเป็นเกียรติประวัติสูงสุดในชีวิตและวงศ์ตระกูลเลยทีเดียว แต่น่าเสียดายที่ไม่มีใครติดต่อหรือทาบทามมาเลย ซึ่งหากเป็นไปได้ผมมั่นใจว่า ผมน่าจะทำได้ ด้วยซ้ำ"
