In the past week, two matches that didn’t fight for the world championship were held but Thai fans were interested in them more than a match for the important boxing institute in the country. One of them was the match of Juan Diaz who won unanimous over ‘Rambo Aussie’ Michael Katsidis. BOI also gave him the world belt. Other action was the match of Amir Khan , 2004 Olympic bronze medalist, who was punched and defeated by Bredis Prescott from Columbia in the 54th second of the first round and became the talk of the town including Thailand in that week. Most Thai boxing fans discussed seriously his first loss and were interested in the news of him more than Thai champion who could retain the world championship. |
