Denkaosan to fight Juntillano on October 17

Denkaosan Kratingdaenggym will fight Dennis Juntillano for the PABA light flyweight title on October 17.

Denkaosan is also scheduled to challenge WBA flyweight Takefumi Sakata of Japan in December in a mandatory fight, according to promoter Naris Singwangcha. The Thai is currently third in the WBA ranking.

The promoter said the October 17 fight would prepare Denkaosan well for the rematch with Sakata and the Thai boxer must produce a good performance in order to build up confidence for the rematch.

The bout will be held at a makeshift stadium in Rattanakosin Sompot Lad Krabang School in Bangkok and will be broadcasted by the Channel Seven network starting at 3.00 p.m.

The same event will also feature a match of PABA featherweight Peesartdaeng Kiatsakthanee and challenger Jaime Barcelona of the Philippines.

The event is jointly organized by Galaxy Boxing Promotion and Naris Boxing Promotion as well as the Rattanakosin Sompot Lad Krabang School. Principal Tawin Jaingam said the event would generate interest in boxing among the youth.

In addition to the two matches, the event will also host the bouts of Yodcharnchai Singwangcha vs. Chanasak Aesampan, Theprid Wor Singsaney vs. Samson Sor Thannapinyo, and Jockeylek Sitsei vs. Yodsing Petteerapong.
