| David to fight Mbamba in WBC qualifying match |

David Nakornluang Promotion of Thailand and Evans Mbamba of South Africa will fight in a match this December for the right to challenge WBC super flyweight champion Christian Mijares. David, whose first name is also spelled Devid and whose second name was previously Lookmahanak, is currently ranked second in the WBC super flyweight class, while “international champion” Mbamba is the third. Their match will be held on December 5 at Johannesburg, South Africa, by the 2007 WBC International Promoter of the Year Branco Milenkovic. Milenkovic gained the right to host the fight from the World Boxing Council (WBC) after he pointed out that the Thai spectators of the bout of Vusi Malinga and Veeraphol Nakornluang Promotion (Sahaprom) in June were too rowdy. He also said the Thai promoter would do anything to prevent Mbamba to win in an attempt to avenge for Veeraphol who quit boxing after the defeat to Vusi, who is also one of Milenkovic’s boxers.
