Wednesday, 30 July 2008

WBC Atomweight champion Winyu Paradorn Gym will defend her title from Japanese challenger and old-time rival Momo Koseki on August 11 in Tokyo, Japan.

The fight of the two female boxers will be the seventh and the star match of a grand four-hour event at the famous Korakuen Hall of Tokyo from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm in Japan time.

Protégé promoter of the Onesongchai camp Priyakorn Rattanasuban said three other Thai fighters, former WBC champion Wandee Singwangcha, Petchinda Chindamanee, and Saeng-arthit Kietkamthorn, would also fight in the event.

“The Japanese fans are highly interested in the match of Winyu and Koseki, as the previous fight of two did not yield a decisive result,” said Priyakorn.

“We have fully prepared as the Japanese would gain a hometown advantage with the familiar environment. So, Winyu must show her best skills in the fight and must claim a conclusive win or a knockout. Otherwise, she is not likely to return home with the title belt.”
