About a playoff match for  a winner to challenge WBC super-flyweight belt between David Nakornlhuang and Evans Mbamba at Carousel Casino, Hammanskraal, Gauteng, South Africa, recently, Sia-Hui Suchat Pisitwuttinan, manager and promoter declared that they intended to travel in advance on 29 Nov. for their physical readiness. However, because the  airport was shut down so their schedule must be postponed to be in the early morning of 3 Dec. instead. He accepted that this postponement had effect on David and him heavily especially in adjusting  their physical readiness and  weighty control. If David could not control his weight, he would miss the chance. The physical readiness was also important because of the different time zone. Thus their hope discounted from 100% to be only 50 % .

Khaosai worries about home advantage for Denkaosan's match with Sakata PDF Print E-mail

The home advantage of the opponent will be a big concern for Denkaosan Kratingdaenggym when he fights WBA flyweight champion Takefumi Sakata in Japan in December, says trainer Khaosai Galaxy.

Khaosai, a former champion who held a WBA title for eight years before retiring, was recruited by Denkaosan’s manager to become a trainer of the boxer for the bout with Sakata, scheduled on December 31 in Japan.

The boxing legend said Denkaosan is physically ready as he has been in an intensive training program that includes daily jogging of 10 kilometers and sparring with top fighters.

PBAT to host talk between Samson and Chuwong PDF Print E-mail

The Professional Boxing Association of Thailand (PBAT) will host a talk between female light flyweight boxer Samson Sor Siriporn and promoter Chuwong “Eddie” Tumkit on their dispute and alleged loss of WBC title.

Promoter Naris Singwangcha will act as the mediator in the talk, which will also be joined by Narongwat Buamad, Samsan’s manager.

The dispute of the Samsan and her promoter became headlines when the fighter told the media that Chuwong withheld payments for her WBC title bouts as well as preventing her to fight in other matches.

WPMF matches planned on December 4 PDF Print E-mail

Professional Boxing Association of Thailand (PAT) has announced it would hold a muaythai event to honor His Majesty the King at Sanam Luang on December 4, 2008.

Seven World Professional Muaythai Federation (WPMF) matches, out of the total 25 planned for the event, will be broadcasted by Channel Five Network from 11.00 p.m. to 1.00 a.m. of the next day.

The first of the broadcasted bouts would be the fight of WPMF male light heavyweight title holder Ismael Gret of France and challenger Middy KB One Gym of Canada.

Pramuansak to fight Roy Doliguez PDF Print E-mail

Pramuansak Kokiet Gym (Pramuansak Posuwan) will defend his WBO Asia-Pacific junior bantamweight title against Roy Doliguez of the Philippines on November 26 at Mukdahan, Thailand.

In addition to match against Doliguez, Pramuansak is scheduled to fight for a world title against Jose Lopez in Puerto Rico in late January, but only if he survived the bout with Doliguez.
