General Thaweep Chantaroj, president of Thailand Amateur Boxing Association, revealed on the readiness of Thai Amateur boxing team in Olympic 2008 at Beijing, China during August 8-24. He went to check on the Athlete village, accommodation, practicing stadium.

Thaweep said he prepared the accommodation and the practicing stadium to be ready for the team. It’s located about 10 minutes from the staying place. On the tournament stadium is an international standard ring.

However, Thaweep stated that all 8 classes of Thai team is training in Hichimin City, Vietnam consist of Sailom Ardee, Somjit Jongjorhor, Worapoj Petchkoom, Amnat Ruenroeng, Pichai Sayotha, Manas Boonjamnong, and Angkarn Chompoopuang. There are 2 problems we concern; the over weight problem and the fist injuring.

Besides, Thaweep said the only problem we encounter is boxers need to go back home before leaving for Beijing. Every case must follow the rules, no exception.

Thaweep assured that Manus Bunjumnong and Worapoj Petkhum, ex- 2004 Olympic Heroes, will make a new history of the Olympic by grabbing one of the medals in the Games.
