Somrak brags to grab 5 gold medals from Muaythai PDF Print E-mail

Some private sectors started to give support to boxers of Thai national team who can grab medal from Beijing Games or 29th Olympic Games that will take place on 8-24 August 2008 at Beijing, China. Mc Donald offers one million baht for someone who can grab a gold medal, Toyota Company offers Vigo Cab for a gold medalist and Caltex offers two hundred thousand baht for the Olympic Games boxer. Lately, Major General Jaruk Areerajakaran, vice president and secretary of Olympic Committee of Thailand told that M 150 and AIS will add one million baht for the gold medalist.
 
For amateur international boxers of Thai national team, General Taweep  Jantararoj, the president to the Amateur Boxing Association of Thailand, said that all 8 Thai boxers are practicing in Vietnam. Staff coach emphasizes the important of preventing themselves. For the next, they will stress on sparing with partners and make them have more self-confident. Sports science and psychologists will take part in their practice too. Practicing program is like soldiers’ practice. While practicing in Vietnam, all Thai boxers must sit to concentrate the mind at least 30 minutes.

“For the Beijing Games, we can grab medals for 7 divisions. But it’s up to draw lots to match again. We will sure whenever we know who our opponents are. About the judges, I think there is no problem because nowadays, all judges are fair enough.” Gen. Taweep said.
 
Somrak Kamsing, the boxer who took part in Olympic Games for 4 times and Atlanta Games gold medalist, said that he believed in Thai boxers’ ability. Thai team can grab for 5 gold medals from Manus Boonjumnong, Non Boonjumnong, Somjit Jongjohor, Amnat Ruenroeng and Angkarn Chompoopuang, he didn’t brag at all. For Manus, after improving himself, his mettle will be better certainly.
 
8 amateur international boxers of Thai national team consists of Amnat Ruenroeng (48 kg), Somjit Jongjohor (51 kg), Worapot Petchkoom (54 kg), Sailom Adee (57 kg), Pichai Sayotha ( 60 kg), Manus Boonjumnong (64 kg), Non Boonjumnong (69 kg) and Angkarn Chompoopuang (75 kg)
