Somjit says creaking beds disrupt athletes? sleep PDF Print E-mail

The captain of Thai Olympic boxers complains of squeaking beds of the new facility in Vietnam, while IBA calls for host countries for Olympic qualification events. 
 
Team captain of the Thai Olympic boxers Somjit Jongjohor said the athletes were having troubles sleeping at Army Sport Center training facility in Vietnam due to the old wooden beds that swayed and creaked.

Somjit said the bathrooms were also in bad conditions as some did not have shower heads. He has informed the coach who will coordinate with the facility staff to fix the problems.

The Thai athletes earlier stayed at a hotel in downtown Ho Chi Minh City but have moved to the Sport Center to save time and avoid traffic congestion. Asides from the squeaking beds, the Thai boxers are mostly satisfied with the new facility.

The boxers will compete in the Beijing Olympic Games on September 8-24.
