Big Aod offer the way to solve problem for 2 boxing Associations

Prof. Charoen Watanasin, committee of Law and Acts in Committee Thailand Olympic talk about the solving of 2 Muaythai associations.

“Big Aod or Gen. Yutthasak Sasiprapa, the chairman of Thailand Olympic planned the way to solve these problems and will offer to Dr. Suwit Yodmanee, Minister of Tourism and Sports, since I checked everything by carefully I think it can be success if everyone whom concern as the ministry, Sport Authority of Thailand and Muaythai Associations agree in ways”

“Because this proposal is not for one organization but this is for Thailand and Muaythai, Gen. Yutthasak offers to set ‘Specific Organization’ and invite Dr. Suwit to be the chairman and qualifies boxers for national team for SEA Games 24th”

“The Committees has to come from ‘middleman’ and 2 of muaythai organizations have to fight about the laws by themselves. However the committee will follow by the correct way by laws only”

“That mean, we still approve Muaythai Association which under authorized by Mr. Santipab Intharapat, the chairman of Muaythai Association, but for the Amateur Muaythai Association which under authorized by Dr. Sakchay Thubsuwan as the chairman, is now revoked by Administrative court. But if they want to request the petition, they got the rights to do”

However, Prof. Chareon also said “Now everyone has to think about the facing problem so we have to solve this problem as soon as possible, especially Muaythai because Muaythai problem is the problem of Thailand not for anyone else, and the committee doesn’t want to see the exit way like it happened in Philippines those solve the problem for Basketball team in Asian Games 25th by cancel the competition”

“We don’t want to solve the problem like this, but if we have to do, we will do it. If thai people don’t love Thailand and want to do like that, go ahead but now we have to manage in this way to solve the problem”

Unification of IAMTF and IFMA created WMF

The 8th of October 2003 will be written in the history of Muaythai as the historical date, when the head representatives of IFMA met in Bangkok with the executives of IAMTF to work out the final details of the contract unifying these two bodies in one amateur organization named the World Muaythai Federation (WMF).

With the assistance of the AMAT president Senator Santiphap Intaraphartn and in the presence of other high representatives of the Thai political and sports scene signed the IAMTF president, General Chaisit Shinawatra, and the IFMA president; Dr. Sakchye Tapsuwan, the unification documents and their handshake demonstrated entering into the agreement. For the completion of any uncompleted activities of both parties was given the deadline by the end of the year 2003.

As the great significance of this unification is considered the fact that the existence of the newly established WMF, the single international amateur Muaythai organization, will contribute to the next move of this sport towards the Olympic games.
