Nine Thai boxers reach boxing finals in Sea Games PDF Print E-mail

Five male and four female Thai boxers reach final matches in the 24th Sea Games.

They were Pinweight Kaew Pongprayoon, Fly weight Somjit Jongjorhor, Featherweight Sailon A-Dee,  Light welterweight Manas Boonjamnong and Middle weight Suriya Prasarthinpimai.

All of them excepted Kaew will face Filipino boxers while Kaew will fight Myanmar boxer in the final.

Muaythai starts first day in Sea Games PDF Print E-mail

Muaythai boxers from Thailand started claiming its victory on first day of competition in Sea Games.

Sornsiri Ratrong of 51 kilogrames category beat Laotian Buama Wongcham, Chatphon Phetsongsri beat Sathit Kierta from Laos in 60 kilograme category and Phanuphan Tanjad defeated Filipino Ruben Sumido.

But Thailand’s female Muaythai boxer Yupaporn Kotthong lost to Laos’ Boonjan Siengprasert in 48 category.

Ten Thai males and seven females boxers paraded to the semi-final rounds of the 24th Sea games.

Light flyweight Amnart Ruenreng beat Vietnamese boxer, lightweight Pichai Sayotha defeated Loatian Udon Kansai, and Welterweight Non Boonchamnong won over Filipino Vilfredo Lopez by RSC and light heavyweight Angkarn Chompoopueng win RSC outscore over Malaysian Mustafa.

Thailand topples Russia to be Muay Thai World Cup Champion PDF Print E-mail

Thai boxers won seven golds from Muay Thai World Cup 2007 beating former champion Russia.

In the lat two days of the tournament , nine Thai boxers including two female boxers, went to final round. And seven of them including one female one gold medals, toppled Russia, a former champion, which run second with five golds.

Thai promoter to support more female boxing matches PDF Print E-mail

 Thai promoter Kokiert Panichayaromn of Kokiert Group said he would supported more Thai female boxers to fight.

He said he has informed to boxing camps across the country to sent Muaythai female boxers in which he will added the boxing matches, at least two or three matches during the month world fighting.

Kokiert said the fee should start from 6,000 baht ( 170 dollars)

He said he has already organized boxing amateur for female boxers with Eddy Chuwong Toomkit, a manager of Samson Sor Siriporn, but for Muaythai female boxer, he is coordinating with Sawek Pinsinchai.
