Chadchainoi Gardenzeeview beat Pakorn Sakyothin by points once again under the protest from the supporters during the main fight of the Wan Songchai day at Ratchadumnoen boxing stadium on October 9.

After the fight, the fans came up on the stage to protest as the referees had an immediate meeting as no change for the fight which remain the same with Chatchainoi won on points.

David to fight Mbamba in WBC qualifying match PDF Print E-mail

David Nakornluang Promotion of Thailand and Evans Mbamba of South Africa will fight in a match this December for the right to challenge WBC super flyweight champion Christian Mijares.

David, whose first name is also spelled Devid and whose second name was previously Lookmahanak, is currently ranked second in the WBC super flyweight class, while “international champion” Mbamba is the third.

Their match will be held on December 5 at Johannesburg, South Africa, by the 2007 WBC International Promoter of the Year Branco Milenkovic.

Saddam Kietyongyuth is scheduled to fight with Jimrex Jaca of the Philippines on October 22. 

The Thai boxer will defend his Asian Boxing Council (ABCO) title for the first time against the Filipino on October 22 at 3.00 p.m. at Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University in Nonthaburi.

Wandee Singwangcha will fight Nino Suelo of the Philippines in the same event, said organizer Wasan Mongkollappakit.

Decha to defend IBF title from Jean Nicolas Weigel PDF Print E-mail

IBF youth light welterweight champion Decha Kokietgym will defend his title from Jean Nicolas Weigel in France on November 15.

The match with French Weigel will be Decha’s third defending bout, said promoter Kokiet Panichayarom.

The Thai boxer gained the tile when he unexpectedly defeated another French boxer, Thomas Bastard, in the second round of a bout in France.

Decha is the oldest of 23-year-old triplets. He and his two brothers, Dechapol and Decho, started boxing in 2003 and rose in to the international ranks when they were still young.

De La Hoya-Pacquiao starts promotion tour PDF Print E-mail

Oscar De La Hoya and Manny Pacquiao have started a tour to six locations to promote their match on December 6 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.

The tour started at the Statue of Liberty in New York City and would continue to six cities in the U.S.

De La Hoya said the scheduled match with Pacquiao would be the one of the best moments of in his professional boxing career similarly to when he was awarded the Olympic gold medal while the national anthem was playing.

The American boxer said he felt the fight with Pacquiao would be a challenge that forced him to have a three-month intensive training.

Takefumi Sakata will defend his WBA flyweight title in a mandatory fight with Denkaosan Kratingdaenggym in December.

The World Boxing Association (WBA) has announced, at its annual meeting, of several title matches including the flyweight bout of Japan’s Sakata and second-place contender Thailand’s Denkaosan. The previous match of the two ended as a draw last year, although Sakata was down for a count of eight in the first round.

Rattanapol Kokietgym has lost his PABA title to Richard Garcia of the Philippines by decision.

Their match was held on October 3 at a makeshift stadium at Ban Rai School in Dan Khun Ton District of Nakorn Ratchasima, as part of the charity event to celebrate the 85th birthday anniversary of revered monk Luang Por Koon.

After eleven rounds with each boxer down several times, Richard Garcia was able to unify his “interim” PABA flyweight title with the non-interim title of Rattanapol Kokietgym, who is known internationally as Ratanapol Sor Vorapin.
