The muaythai officials have promised a training center in each province and a standardized rule for all stadiums.

At the recent annual meeting of the Professional Muaythai Sport Association, Director of the Board of Boxing Sport Santi Pukwanmuang and Assistant Director of Sport Development Peera Fongdawirat have made several promises to improve the sports including a project to set up a muaythai training center in each province that would support the locals in equipment and training as well as providing trainers.

The officials also said they would request all the muaythai stadiums in Thailand and other countries to use the same set of rules certified by the Board of Boxing Sport in order to standardize the sport.

In addition, they would elevate the sport to the national agenda status and to promote it globally.

The officials have also told the meeting participants that they would act to counter the frauds in the sport.

An analyst commented that the officials and the association must take an assertive role and personally observes the bouts at various stadiums instead of reviewing the reports in their office.
