 Former Thai Champion Rattanaphon Sor Vorapin spent less than a minute to grab PABA’s flyweight title.

Rattanaphon’s left punch sent Indonesian boxer down in few seconds since the first round started. Rattanaphon also shoot his left punches against his opponent until the referee stop the fight in only 45 seconds in the first round.

WBC Chief to miss Thai ex-convict fight PDF Print E-mail

 Promoter of Thai ex-convict boxer Samson Sor Siriporn said WBC chief will miss Monday’s fight.

“Eddy” Chuwong Toomkit, promoter of Tiger Promotion, said the Jose Sulaiman, WBC president can not come to chair the fight between Thai Samson Sor Siriporn and Japan’s Momo Koseki on Monday.

He said Sulaiman will have to return to his hometown, Mexico, for reciving royal decoration. 

But Sulaiman has sent his representative to Thailand, Eddy added.

 Privy Councillor, General Pijit Kulavanich, said the conflicts among people in boxing associations will not benefit the country.

 

Pichit said the boxing associations itself have to fight two opponents, the opponents on the rings and domestic conflict which was not benefit for the country and people involved in boxing business. 

 

He said domestic conflict is the main reason that make Thai boxing is not develope enough because inside people always think about themself, their families and their friends' benefit rather than the nation. He urged people who involved in boxing should more concern of the country rather than individual.

 Amateur Muaythai Association will go ahead supporting ten boxers saying the assocaition has legal right to support them.

Santipab Intarapat, the chairman of the Amateur Muaythai Association of Thailand (AMAT), said ten boxers from the Amateur Boxing Association of Thailand (ABAT), must be registered under his Amateur Muaythai Association if they want to go to Seagames because his association has legal right in supporting boxers for the events.

 Since the former chairman of the Amateur Boxing Association of Thailand, General Chetta Tanajaro, announced himself for politics, at least two more boxers and two boxing camp owners decided to run for the upcoming election.

Kaosai Galaxy, a historical boxer for Thailand’s boxing history, decide to run for election in his hometown Phetchaboon for Puea Pan Din (or motherland) Party. Bronze medalist from Olympic Atlanta, Wichai Rachanond also decide to put his gloves off from his training job and became politician running in Bangkok for Puea Pan Din Party.
